Jared Johnson ’94
Athlete - Basketball, Baseball
Jared had an outstanding career for the Warriors and excelled in both basketball and baseball. He holds multiple Whitfield basketball career records including three-pointer FG made (227), steals (357), and assists (724). His 1,684 career points is 4th in basketball program history. He holds multiple Whitfield basketball single season records including three-point FG made (86), single season assists (251) and steals (110).
On the baseball field, Jared was a member of the 1994 state championship baseball team—the first-ever state title in Whitfield’s history. In the bottom of the ninth inning of that history-making game, Jared singled then stole second and third. And when his teammate and fellow Whitfield Hall of Famer Robert Rahm was walked on four straight pitches, Jared came home with the winning run. An All-State baseball selection and St. Louis Post-Dispatch Scholar Athlete, Jared continued his academic and athletic career at DePauw University where he played baseball and earned his B.A. degree.
